Food Prices Are Falling Faster Than Consumers Can Buy Them
Updated: Sep 6, 2022
Food price index is finally looking like we are heading in a healthy direction. Overall food prices have fallen 1% month over month between the eggs, meat and milk basket. Eggs have dropped 5.9%, meat 1.8% and milk 1%. This is a great sign that next month inflation may finally begin tapering.

Even though food prices are at record levels, consumers will be able to spend less at the checkout lines than they did last month. While this is a great sign, the auto market and real estate markets are still over inflated and are not showing signs of slowing just yet.

Stay calm, keep the positive energy and let us all hope these prices continue to fall. Keep track of all the latest inflation data and economic health of the markets at metrixfi.com
